We recently caught up with several former OP players who have made significant strides in their soccer careers. Here's a glimpse into their extraordinary journeys:
Emma Sears
Hometown: Dublin, Ohio
Emma Sears began her soccer journey with OP in 8th grade and continued until her senior year of high school. After OP, she went on to play collegiate soccer at The Ohio State University. Recently, Emma signed her first professional contract with Racing Louisville FC, showcasing her prowess as a forward. Her favorite part about playing professionally is the daily opportunity to grow alongside dedicated teammates who share her passion for the game.
Anna Rosa James Buhigas
Hometown: Dublin, Ohio
Anna Rosa James Buhigas, fondly known as Anna, was a steadfast player at OP from U10 to U19, winning the U18 ECNL National Championship in 2013. She then pursued collegiate soccer at Lipscomb University before embarking on a successful professional career. Currently, Anna plays for Pomigliano in Naples, Italy, competing in the first division Italian league. As a goalkeeper, she finds fulfillment in the diverse experiences and personal growth that professional soccer offers, having played in Spain’s top league and Champions League.
Emeka Eneli
Hometown: Dublin, Ohio
Emeka Eneli’s journey with OP spanned from 2017 to 2018, laying the groundwork for his future success. Following his time at OP, he played college soccer at Cornell University before transitioning to the professional arena. Emeka currently showcases his skills as a center midfielder for Real Salt Lake in the MLS, relishing the competitive environment and the opportunity to travel and meet players from around the world.
Alyssa Walker
Hometown: Dayton, Ohio
Alyssa Walker’s four years at OP paved the way for her collegiate soccer career, where she excelled at the University of Richmond and the University of Iowa. Now in her third year as a professional, Alyssa plays striker for HB Køge in Denmark, contributing to the growth of women’s soccer globally. Despite facing challenges such as injuries and mental health setbacks, Alyssa remains committed to her journey, driven by her love for the sport and the opportunity to inspire future generations.
Aubrei Corder
Hometown: Barboursville, West Virginia
Aubrei Corder’s tenure at OP from 2010 to 2015 laid the foundation for her collegiate and professional endeavors. After playing four years at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Aubrei embarked on her professional career in Bodø, Norway, representing FK Bodø/Glimt as a goalkeeper. She embraces the opportunity to contribute to the growth of women’s soccer worldwide, despite facing challenges such as sexism in other countries and adapting to new environments.
Audrey Harding
Hometown: Akron, Ohio
Audrey Harding’s journey with OP began in high school, shaping her path to collegiate soccer at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Now, Audrey is set to embark on a new chapter in the inaugural season of the USL women’s league with Carolina Ascent, following stints in Sweden at KIF Örebro DFF and the NWSL at Washington Spirit. As a center forward, Audrey cherishes the opportunity to pursue her passion professionally, while also serving as an inspiration to aspiring players.
Emmanuel Sabbi
Hometown: Columbus, Ohio
Emmanuel Sabbi’s remarkable journey from OP to the professional stage is a testament to his talent and dedication. He played with OP from the time he was 6 until he was 16. Following his time at OP, Emmanuel at 18 went straight into playing professionally. He has made waves in France, showcasing his skillfulness with Le Havre in Ligue 1. His journey, which includes representing the United States at the U-20 World Cup and making his senior debut, highlights the potential nurtured at OP.
Lindsey Agnew
Hometown: Kingston, Ontario, Canada
Lindsey Agnew’s journey from OP to the global stage is evidence to her perseverance and skill. Another key figure in OP’s U-18 ECNL National Championship triumph, Lindsey went on to excel at Ohio State University before embarking on a professional career spanning multiple continents. Her achievements include, representing Canada at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, multiple years in the NWSL, and so much more. Currently, Lindsey hosts the annual ‘Rise Above’ soccer camp at OP. This camp helps to fund scholarships for players with financial needs in the club.

As we continue to nurture talent and provide a platform for players to reach their full potential, we take pride in their achievements and look forward to witnessing their continued success on and off the field.
