Ohio Premier is committed to providing extensive resources for players and their families. OP has a club membership with a platform called SportsRecruits to make recruiting easier! SportsRecruits is an online software tool that helps players and parents navigate the college recruiting process. All Ohio Premier players ages U15-U19 receive a complimentary SportsRecruits account as members of the club. Below, you’ll find all the information you need about the platform and how to get started.
WHAT IS SPORTSRECRUITS?
Created by former college athletes, this online software helps players and parents navigate the recruiting process. It’s designed to empower student athletes to pursue their dreams of playing college sports. This advanced software gives players and parents the information they need about various collegiate sports programs throughout the country. They can communicate with coaches via email or secure message (within NCAA guidelines) and it gives players a chance to easily share their on the field successes.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY PLAYER’S PROFILE?
SportsRecruits allows players to share basic information, like their contact information, how many years they’ve played, what positions they’re comfortable with and what they’re interested in studying. They can also upload a highlight reel, photos and any relevant news articles that showcase their skills. Players can make information private or public at any time. Profiles also include a tracking feature so you know which coaches are interacting with your recruiting information and analytics that will help you set recruiting goals.
DOES SPORTSRECRUITS PROVIDE ADDITIONAL ACADEMIC INFORMATION ABOUT EACH COLLEGE?
Yes, this advanced tool provides key information specific to each college such as application requirements, deadlines, costs and academic programs. When you have a SportsRecruits account, you are given access to their online resource center which includes articles and webinars.
HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR A SPORTSRECRUITS ACCOUNT?
When the players enter the U15 level, OP Soccer will sign your player up for a SportsRecruit account, look for an email from SportsRecruits with your account information. OP has assigned SportsRecruits coordinators to help you along the way – Katie Robinson (girls side) and Jason Griffiths (boys side) know the ins and outs of SportsRecruits and are available to help you track account activity and the recruiting process.
