EKG #8 Memorial Scholarship Now Open for Applications

The Ohio Premier Soccer Club is proud to share an opportunity for our graduating seniors through the EKG #8 Memorial Foundation Scholarship, created to honor the life and legacy of Emma Kathryn Gage.

The EKG #8 Memorial Foundation is pleased to award a $1,500 scholarship to one graduating senior boy and one graduating senior girl from Ohio Premier who embody Emma’s legacy of kindness, creativity, and dedication. This scholarship was established to celebrate Emma’s life and the lasting impact she continues to have on the Ohio Premier community.

Emma was a cherished member of the Ohio Premier family—the daughter of Coach Willie Gage and the niece of Coach Annie Gage Murphy. She grew up surrounded by this club and the game she loved, and her presence touched teammates, coaches, and families alike. Emma’s impact extended far beyond the field.

She never met a stranger and had a remarkable ability to find the good in everyone and everything. Her joy, compassion, and spirit continue to inspire those who knew her, and this scholarship seeks to recognize seniors who reflect those same qualities.

Participation in collegiate athletics is not required to apply. Applicants must be planning to continue their education at a college, university, or trade school.

Ohio Premier encourages all eligible seniors who feel they represent these values to apply.

The application deadline is Wednesday, March 18, and all responses will remain confidential. Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the Ohio Premier Senior Banquet later this spring.
