Spring is in the air and that means tryout season is upon us! Ohio Premier is excited to share that we have simplified our tryout process. Those interested in playing for OP have 2 different tryout options to choose from.
Option 1: ‘Attend a Training Session’
Registration for option 1 is now closed. We invite you to register for Option 2 – Traditional Tryouts
Ohio Premier prides itself on the weekly training environment our coaches provide our players. We know that these training sessions create an environment where interested players can showcase their skills in a more relaxed setup. Our coaches can tailor the training session experience to each player—ensuring they are able to best demonstrate their unique skills and abilities within one of our already established teams.
If your child is interested in joining OP’s 2024-2025 season we strongly encourage the ‘Attend a Training Session’ option and here’s why:
- It provides a more personal and intimate environment for our staff to not only observe, but get to know your child and provide feedback to bring out the best of their abilities.
- The ‘training session’ tryouts will be complete prior to our ‘traditional’ tryouts which provides you with earlier notification on whether your child will be invited to play with OP or not. This earlier time frame can help you and our staff make better decisions for your child/athlete.
After registering, our team will reach out to invite new players to a current team training session throughout the weeks of April 1st – May 11th. After attending a session, your child may be offered a spot for the 2024/2025 season. If so, you will be provided with next steps to register and pay a deposit prior to May 13th to secure your child’s spot.
Registration for option 1 is now closed. We invite you to register for Option 2 – Traditional Tryouts
Option 2: ‘Traditional Tryout’
– Week of May 13 (birth year 2012/U13 and older)
– Week of May 20 in Dublin (birth year 2013/U12 and younger)
– Week of May 28 in UA (birth year 2013/U12 and younger)
During traditional tryouts, your child will be coached through unique drills and game scenarios that put their skills on display. These tryouts provide an opportunity to group potential OP players with existing OP players. This enables teams to better develop and excel together as a team in the upcoming season.
It’s important to note that we strongly recommend your child attend a training session prior to traditional tryouts. However, this is not always possible due to scheduling conflicts and other circumstances. In this case, you can move forward and register for traditional tryouts.
Please scroll down to review scheduled tryout dates and times.
After registering and attending your specific tryout dates, all players will be notified of tryout results in due time. Your timely response in accepting or declining your offer allows us to continue the process of communicating with all potential 2024-2025 players.
Traditional Tryout Schedules
To select your tryout date and time, find your child’s birth year and if applicable, choose the location and timeframe that works best for your family.
If you have questions, please email us at info@opsoccer.com. Please state your child’s gender and birth year in the subject line.
Thank you for your interest in Ohio Premier Soccer Club, we wish you all the best at tryouts this season!
