Ohio Premier Soccer Club is proud to announce additional indoor training facilities and an innovative project dedicated to OP’s players, their families and the coaching staff. This new facility supports OP’s mission to promote the personal development of each player on and off the field, focusing on dedication, discipline, and teamwork. The training facility additions and improvements will act as a pillar to help foster that development.
Where OP Soccer Began
OP didn’t get to this place by accident, these new facilities and upgrades have been 30 years in the making. When OP coaches traveled to Fenton, Missouri, in 2001 with their teams to play at St. Louis Soccer Park (currently the World Wide Technology Soccer Park), they were inspired to build a complex of their own.
And so the journey began and by 2021, OP had developed a five-field complex with two artificial turf fields, two Kentucky bluegrass fields, and a state-of-the-art Bermuda grass field. This growth continued in late 2022 with the announcement of the second phase of development, marked by the purchase of additional land and a house adjacent to the existing outdoor training facility.
Where OP Soccer is Headed
OP’s journey is not just a facility upgrade – it’s designed to elevate the club’s capabilities and impact. This project has been made possible because of the generous community that surrounds and believes in the club.
“We are excited about these next phases of development. The indoor training space and clubhouse will further allow us to provide the best training environment for our coaches and players.”
— Chris Baer, president of Ohio Premier Soccer
Ohio Premier Training Facility Enhancements
Winter Indoor Training Space (Dome):
To address the current challenges of inclement weather cancellations and high rental costs, OP plans to construct a state-of-the-art dome for year-round training. This facility will provide more practice time, individual/small group training, indoor events, college showcases, and hosting league games. The inclusion of 9v9 and 7v7 fields will ensure consistent game schedules during wetter months when grass fields are closed, providing essential playing time for younger age teams.
Expansion of 11v11; 9v9, 7v7 Outdoor Fields:
Adding more outdoor fields is a strategic move to host more league games, Ohio Premier Invitational games, and provide additional training space for all teams. The inclusion of 9v9 and 7v7 fields will ensure consistent game schedules and provide essential playing time for younger age teams.
Clubhouse Transformation:
Repurposing an existing house into an office/clubhouse will centralize operations, creating a hub for coaches, players, and staff to collaborate and enhance the overall soccer experience.
